Aaric is a queer illustrator based in Boston, MA of Han Chinese, Mongolian and Norwegian background. His work through Weiskei explores the intersection of Western fantasy, queer identity and East Asian aesthetics through colorful, playful characters.
Why did you apply for Project Pop-Up?
I have been passionate about enriching and build connections within the queer creative community in Boston since 2023. This unique retail-workshop experience at Project: Pop-Up allows Weiskei to hold space for the community while spreading the work of queer artists. By hosting workshops at Project: Pop-Up, I hope to encourage the exchange of skills and resources for anyone and everyone who loves to create!
