It has always been my dream to start a business of my own and this was the year I took the leap. I created For Keeps around the things I am passionate about, books/knowledge and beautiful jewelry to symbolize a memory people want to hold on to.
Why did you apply for Project Pop-Up?
I applied because I love everything that Project: Pop-Up represents. It is all about empowering entrepreneurs and small businesses to grow, evolve, and expand. I love the way they hold space for marginalized groups like women and minority owned businesses. I hope to gain a community, experience, a For Keeps fan base (increased customers and social media following), and momentum as I round out the first 6 months of starting this journey.
