My Sunday Afternoon (MYSA) is an event design and styling brand that exists to lift others up. We do this by raising awareness and decreasing stigma around mental illness through our eye-catching visual installations, thoughtfully designed events, and in-shop products.

Founder Alli Russell
My Sunday Afternoon (MYSA) was founded by Alli Russell, a local Malden native, with intention to fill the gap between creatives and clinicians, in a way that is both beautiful and relatable. As a mental health worker and artist, herself, Alli feels qualified to fill this void, and does so, by building bespoke, whimsical spaces that invoke real conversation and growth; these are the spaces of MYSA.
Why did you apply for Project Pop-Up?
I’ve always wanted to have a space for people to come to, rather than bring that space elsewhere. Additionally, I saw a deep need for support around BIPOC businesses, as well as mental health spaces in Melrose; we will be supporting both through our products and events. This is such an exciting opportunity to get my toes wet and I hope to learn whether or not this is really something I am able to pursue full time in the future.I am so thankful for it!
